Leyland's big free park with a proper hedge maze, arboretum, play areas and a miniature railway running summer Sundays. The maze alone is worth the detour.
Jungle World Leyland
Leyland, Lancashire
Jungle World, on Tomlinson Road in Leyland, is a soft play that has thought about the eight year olds. Alongside the multi-level frame with trampolines and ball pits there is a jungle laser tag arena for 5s and over, a track of little electric safari go-karts, a netted football court and what they claim is Lancashire's tallest indoor slide at 25 feet. The toddler zone is separate.
Prices are low for 2026. Two hours at the weekend is from £6.95 a child and £2 an adult, and a weekday morning for under 5s is from £4.95. Laser tag and karts are paid on top. There is no outside food except baby food and formula, so eat at the Tiki Cafe.
Parking is free on site. They say most weekends sell out, so book, and note tickets are non-refundable, though they will try to move you if you ask early.
What it costs: Weekend and school holiday Jungle Rebels sessions (0 to 12, two hours) from £6.95, adults £2. Weekday Jungle Monsters (0 to 5, two hours) from £4.95, adults £1, under 6 months free. 9am weekend and holiday hour for 0 to 5s from £3.95. After-school Monsters vs Rebels (4pm to 6pm, weekdays) from £7.95, with a meal for an extra £1. ASD session Mondays 6pm to 7pm, £7.95, one carer free. Laser tag £3.95 a game, go-karts £2.50 a ride. Tickets non-refundable.
Know before you go
- Laser tag (£3.95 a game, 5+) and the go-karts (£2.50 a ride) are extras on top of the play ticket, so decide the budget in the car.
- The weekday after-school session adds a chips-and-nuggets meal for £1, which makes it a very cheap tea.
- Monday evenings 6pm to 7pm are an ASD session with the music turned down and one carer free.
Worth knowing: Laser tag is 5+.

British Commercial Vehicle Museum
A big hall of British lorries, buses and fire engines in the town that built Leylands, with a lorry driving experience for kids and a cafe for the grown-ups. Gift Aid your ticket and it becomes a 12-month pass for nothing extra.
Farington Park
Four and a half hectares in Farington with a modern play area, outdoor gym kit, an old mill pond and a patch of woodland. First Green Flag in 2025, and a small free car park at Bashall Grove.
Paradise Park, Leyland
Twenty acres of woodland, glades and pond on the Moss Side edge of Leyland, with a dipping platform on the water. The paths were resurfaced in June 2026, so it is no longer a wellies-only proposition.
