An adventure farm with a sense of humour: tractor trailer rides round the farm, zip wires, drop slides, huge jumping pillows, an obstacle course, a fence maze, roller skating, archery and a tent full of inflatables, with shows and discos through the day. Most of it is included for unlimited goes; the quad karts (£2) and mini diggers (£1) are coin operated, so bring change.
Be clear on one thing before you go: it is not a petting farm, and the farm itself says there is no animal sightseeing. It is aimed mainly at 4 to 12 year olds and opens at weekends and in the school holidays. There are covered areas and a marquee, so drizzle does not end the day, though some attractions close in really bad weather. Picnic hampers and barbecues are not allowed, but you can bring your own drinks and sandwich packs, and parking is free.
Spooky World's daytime version at Apple Jacks Farm, aimed at younger children with no scare attractions. Open 10am to 4pm on selected October dates and daily in half term. £15.50 over 90cm, with a free pumpkin each.
