Bubbles World of Play
Billed as the UK's biggest soft play. A long drive for soft play, but it's the one that turns a rainy day into an actual event, and the seafront is right there.
Arrowe Country Park

Arrowe Country Park covers about 250 acres of open parkland, ponds and deciduous woodland in the centre of the peninsula, beside Woodchurch. For families it has a toddler play area and a separate children's adventure playground, plus pitch and putt, tennis, an outdoor gym and orienteering if you want to give the walk a point.
It costs nothing to get in, though the car parks are paid. The cafe is by the golf shop and keeps early hours, 8am to 6pm in summer and 8am to 3pm in winter, which makes it a good first stop for families who were up at six anyway.
Nothing here is a big attraction on its own, and that is the appeal: two playgrounds, a round of pitch and putt where the smallest player counts every tap as a stroke, a coffee and a loop through the woods.
What it costs: Entry is free; car parking in the park is paid. Pitch and putt prices are not on the council page.
Know before you go
- The cafe sits next to the golf shop and opens 8am to 6pm from the last Sunday in March until the clocks go back, then 8am to 3pm through the winter.
- Vehicle access and parking run dawn till dusk, with some restrictions on major event days.

A small, friendly Wirral farm park with animal handling most days, a maize maze in late summer, and Thurstaston Common and the beach five minutes away for a two-stop day.
