Crazy Town calls itself Aintree but sits on Vesty Business Park in Netherton, with a Bootle postcode and its own enclosed car park of 57 spaces. Inside is a multi-level soft play frame and a separate toddler area, open 9.30am to 6pm every day. The rules are firm: children up to 10 and under 4ft 9in, and adults can supervise small ones but cannot use the equipment for fun.
Price depends heavily on when you go. A term-time toddler session is £9.95 for two and a half hours, while weekends and school holidays are £13.95 for two hours, plus £2 for each adult. The after-school deal at £11.95 includes a meal, and on Fridays in term time there is a disco from 3pm to 7pm with food at £13.95. Closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.

- Play sessions have to be booked online now, even on a quiet weekday.
- Characters appear at the term-time toddler sessions at 10.30am and 1.30pm, if your under-five is into that sort of thing.
- The after school meal deal at £11.95 is two hours of play and tea sorted, which is the cheapest way to do a weekday here.
