Bootle Leisure Centre
There is a flume, and it is the only pool in this part of Sefton with one. Alongside it, a 25 metre main pool with a moveable floor, so the depth changes to suit the session.

Flip Out Aintree is a trampoline and activity park on the retail park by the racecourse, the second Flip Out in Liverpool after the city-centre one. The operator lists 20 attractions, including a main trampoline arena, a kids arena, a stunt zone, a super trampoline, an airbag to jump into and a soft play for the smaller ones. Standard sessions are 90 minutes and cover the lot.
It is not cheap at weekends. The 90-minute session is £15 Tuesday to Thursday and £20 Friday to Sunday, and a family pass is £70 for four or £100 for six, with at least one adult over 18. Toddler Takeover, for ages 5 and under, is better value at £8.50 for a parent and toddler, with a £3.50 toast-and-drinks deal added.
Term-time hours vary by day and it is closed on Mondays. In the holidays it opens 10am to 7pm on weekdays, with weekends running 9.30am to 7pm on Saturday and to 4.30pm on Sunday. The low-sensory ASD sessions, with the lights and music turned down, are £14 a person on Tuesdays at 5.30pm and Sundays at 10am. Sign the waiver online the night before, because doing it on a phone at the desk with two excited children is nobody's idea of fun.

Sefton's largest play area sits in a Victorian park ten minutes' walk from Bootle town centre, with a zip wire, two ball courts and statues to be climbed on and told off for climbing on.

A big soft play on a Netherton business park with its own 57 space car park, character visits at the toddler sessions and a Friday night disco. Weekend prices are high, so the term-time toddler mornings are the smart play.
