Treetop Adventure, the entry-level course, takes children from four as long as they are over a metre tall, and keeps them clipped in and grinning through crossings, wobbly bridges and zips. Treetop Adventure Plus is the step up from six, and Treetop Challenge, with the Tarzan Swing, is for 10 and over. Everything happens above the same forest the Gruffalo trail winds through, so one booking quietly buys a full day out.
Parents can climb too or spectate from below with a coffee. Whichever you choose, someone will demand you watch every single crossing. Allow for this.
What it costs: Treetop Adventure (age 4 to 10, over 1m) from £20.95, Treetop Adventure Plus (6+) from £25.95, Treetop Challenge (10+, over 1.4m) from £36.95. On Treetop Challenge one adult must take part for every two 10 to 15 year olds. Parking is in the Forestry England car park and is paid separately.
