Delamere is a forest with a village attached, and the forest is the entire point. Cheshire's biggest woodland still has the Gruffalo sculptures standing along the trail, adds a Room on the Broom activity trail from the visitor centre for 2026, and keeps the main loop pram-friendly the whole way, all free once the car is parked.

The paid layers stack on top. Go Ape runs zip wires through the tallest pines and takes juniors from six, while Wild Shore floats a giant inflatable obstacle course on the lake, April to October, for confident swimmers - budget for your own ticket too, because under-8s need an adult in the water. Manley Mere's muddier obstacle trail is ten minutes away at Frodsham and the Anderton Boat Lift a short hop east, when you want machinery with your trees.
