A small working alpaca farm on Lymm Road at Thelwall, opposite Chaigeley School, and the format is the opposite of the big farm parks: you book a session, an alpaca walk or a hands-on animal session, and the animals get your full attention rather than the other way round. Donkeys, goats, rabbits, guinea pigs and chickens fill out the petting side for the ones too small to take a lead rope.
It opens 10am to 4pm daily in the school and bank holidays, and Thursday to Sunday the rest of the year. Dogs are not allowed. Reviewers keep using the same two words, friendly and value, and the staff get named as often as the alpacas. It slots neatly into a Warrington day: a booked morning session here, then Lymm Dam's free loop or Walton Hall's free gardens to run off the rest of it, all inside fifteen minutes' drive.
What it costs: Sessions and walks are booked online and priced per experience rather than as entry; visitors consistently call it good value.
Know before you go
- This is a session place, not an all-day farm park. Book the walk or the petting slot and build the rest of the day around Lymm Dam or Walton Hall nearby.
- Alpaca walking suits children who can hold a lead rope calmly, which in practice means about six and up; smaller ones get the petting corner instead.

An adventure farm off Stretton Road built for 4 to 12s: tractor trailer rides, zip wires, drop slides, jumping pillows, roller skating and a tent full of inflatables. Despite the name there are no animals to see, and in October it turns into Spooky World's daytime Fun-By-Day.
Giggles Play Mill
Two-tier soft play frame, low climbing wall, pirate ship, crawl tubes and a bouncy slide, plus Messy Monday and sensory sessions during the week.
Jellybeans Play Centre
Bigger than the average soft play: multi-level frame, a spooky room, an astro slide, a climbing wall, two mini bowling lanes and a slot racing track. The bowling is what makes it work when you have a toddler and a seven-year-old to keep happy at once.
