Timperley rather than Altrincham proper, on an industrial estate off Canal Road. The main frame, for ages four and up, is two levels of climbing wall, aerial glider, wave slide and trampoline with a football pitch attached, and there is a disco room and an arcade besides. The toddler and baby area has two levels of its own plus an enclosed soft play with a vehicle track, role play and a play construction site, and there is a quiet sensory room for babies.
The pricing is properly banded by age. It runs from £6.50 for a baby off peak up to £13.50 for anyone four or older at peak, and non-playing adults are £2.75. Two parents and two children of different ages come out cheaper here than at most flat-rate centres.
Open 9.30am to 6pm every day. Weekday term-time sessions are unlimited play; weekends and holidays are two hours and they mean it.

War told through people's stories in a building designed to feel like a shattered globe. The hourly Big Picture Show projections fill the whole gallery and stop everyone mid-step. Heavy themes, handled well, and better for the top end of primary.
Two rides, a 4D cinema, build zones and Manchester's skyline done in miniature bricks. Squarely aimed at 3 to 10, and it knows it: adults can only visit with a child.
