A compact aquarium with an ocean tunnel, rays, seahorses and touch-pool sessions, scaled so smaller children finish it before fatigue sets in.
It shares a wall with Legoland Discovery and the combo ticket is cheaper than two singles - the obvious double-header for a wet Trafford day.
It is the Trafford Centre's aquarium, which sets expectations correctly: compact, indoor, ninety minutes done well, with the ocean tunnel and the turtles as the stars. Families posting this month rate it for exactly what it is, the reliable two-hour anchor that turns a shopping trip into a day out.
Two things most visitors miss: it shares a wall and a combination ticket with Legoland Discovery Centre, and for older children there is a bookable snorkelling-with-sharks experience in the main tank, which is a sentence that changes a birthday. Book online regardless; the walk-up price is the worst way in.

The full Old Trafford works: three floors of museum, then the players' tunnel, both dressing rooms and the dugouts on a 70 minute guided tour. Plan around the fixture list, because it all shuts on home match days.
