Dinosaur Trail at Bents, Warrington

A garden centre is an unlikely venue for the most talked-about family event of the summer, but here we are: a prehistoric trail winds through the grounds at Bents with life-size dinosaur models around every corner and interactive stops along the way. The TikTok crowd found it first - 291,000 views and counting - and the reaction on the ground matches.

It works best for the 4-8 band, who take dinosaurs extremely seriously. Under-2s go free, the paths take a buggy without complaint, and because it is a garden centre there is a proper cafe and clean toilets - infrastructure most trails cannot offer.

Runs daily until 6 September. Go on a weekday morning if you can; weekends get busy with exactly the crowd you would expect.
