The frames are split by size, and that split decides whether a soft play visit is relaxing or an exercise in damage control. There is a big one for the older children, a smaller copy for toddlers and a dedicated baby area with sensory kit. Tunnels, slides and rope climbs fill out the rest. All of it sits in the Lancaster Leisure Park complex on Wyresdale Road, and it takes children from newborn to ten.
Only children who play pay. Over 1s are £7.95 at weekends and in the school holidays, £6.95 in term time, and 6 to 11 month olds are £4.50. Adults are free, and babies under six months are free alongside a paying sibling, which makes it one of the better value indoor options in the district for a family of three or four. Meal deals combine play with a sandwich or a hot meal and run £6.50 to £13.00 depending on age and appetite.
Weekends and holidays run in three timed sessions, 9.30 to 11.15, 11.45 to 1.30 and 2.00 to 3.45. Term time is simpler, open through from 9.30 to 4.30 on Mondays and Tuesdays and to 5.00 Wednesday to Friday. Booking is recommended and not required. There is a cafe doing proper coffee, which after ninety minutes in a ball pool is not a small thing.
Know before you go
- Term time is a pound cheaper and there are no timed sessions, so a term time weekday morning is both cheaper and quieter.
- Weekends and holidays run in fixed sessions of roughly an hour and three quarters. Turn up at the wrong point in the cycle and you wait, so check the times at the kitchen table.
