Manchester's arena has been rebuilt as an inflatable ball park rather than a room of bouncy castles. The Blue Lagoon ball pit rings an erupting Ballcano, there are ball pit blasters reached through a secret tunnel, a double tipping slide, the Obstaball obstacle course and slides that top out at 11 metres, all joined together so kids just flow round it. Under 4s have their own mini arena of ball pits and soft play, and can go in the main arena too as long as a paying adult goes with them. Babies in arms cannot.
Sessions run by the hour and the good weekend and holiday slots go, so book online rather than chancing a walk-in. An hour is genuinely enough for most children; two is possible with an add-on if yours have the legs for it. The Inflata Cafe and free parking handle the practical end. One access note: the new arena's entrance is steeper than the old one, and the venue warns it may not suit wheelchair users or anyone unable to walk. It is loud in there. Take that as a warning or a promise depending on your children.
What it costs: Booking tool prices on 27 Sept 2026: £14.99 for an hour for ages 4 and over, £7.99 for under 4s; adding a second hour costs £8.50 or £3.50. Spectators go free and do not need to be on the booking.
Worth knowing: Under 4s need a paying adult with them; non-walkers cannot use the main arena.

War told through people's stories in a building designed to feel like a shattered globe. The hourly Big Picture Show projections fill the whole gallery and stop everyone mid-step. Heavy themes, handled well, and better for the top end of primary.
Two rides, a 4D cinema, build zones and Manchester's skyline done in miniature bricks. Squarely aimed at 3 to 10, and it knows it: adults can only visit with a child.

Real snow all year round at the venue Manchester still calls Chill Factore. Over-fours get the Snow Park with sledging, Downhill Donuts and an ice slide at weekends and in the school holidays; older kids can learn to ski or board on the UK's longest indoor real snow slope.
