Giddy Kippers
Soft play on Lomeshaye with a three-storey frame, a separate under-3s area, an enclosed football zone and Kipper's Cafe. Children are £6 on weekdays and £7 at weekends and in the holidays, and adults pay £1 or £2.

Wavelengths is the pool under the pyramid roof on Leeds Road, and it has been Pendle's fun swim for decades. The two famous bits are the wave machine and a slide over 130ft long that twists down into a plunge pool. When the Jaws music plays, the waves are about to start. Since 2025 there has also been an interactive waterplay feature in a beach-style shallow end, which is where the toddlers end up.
It is cheap. A junior swim is £4.20, an adult £6.85, and a family of four £20.50. The inflatable sessions cost an extra £2.50 a head, and children 7 and under need an adult in the water alongside the inflatable. The supervision rules are strict: one adult to each under-4, and no more than two 4 to 7 year olds per adult.
The Beachside Diner does breakfasts, lunches and snacks, which saves the post-swim meltdown on the drive home. Session times sit on a timetable that loads on the website and in the Pendle Leisure app, so look before you go rather than turning up on a lane-swim slot. Non-swimming grandparents can watch from the side for £2.20. Older children who have outgrown the slide can try the Junior Gym, which is for 8 to 15 year olds.
What it costs: Swim: adult £6.85, junior £4.20, family of four £20.50. Inflatable sessions are an extra £2.50 a person. Spectators £2.20.
Worth knowing: Under-4s need one adult each in the water.
