Water in Northwich means three quite different trips. Brio Northwich, in the Memorial Court in the middle of town, has two pools, a water slide and a jacuzzi, and the small pool runs at 30 degrees, which decides whether a three-year-old lasts forty minutes or eight. Adults are £7.20 with an Active Card and juniors £4.30. From mid April to September, Church Walk Paddling Pool is the outdoor version: a council-run children's paddling pool with a play area and snack shop, open in good weather, with morning and afternoon sessions booked online.

Anderton Boat Lift is the odd one out. The Victorian lift itself is closed for repairs through 2026, with reopening planned for the 2027 season, but the free visitor centre and play area are open, and hour-long river cruises still leave from its foot at £12 an adult. Check the Church Walk booking page before you promise anyone a paddle, because it only opens when the weather plays along.
