Liverpool's adventure options split neatly by weather. Otterspool Adventure on the riverfront is the outdoor one: high ropes, go-karts and enough space that a full afternoon disappears. Everything else here has a roof. Gravity MAX at Liverpool ONE does e-karting and games in the old Debenhams, and Ninja Warrior UK out at Speke has 35,000 square feet of obstacle courses, with a Mini Ninjas soft play so the smallest one is not just watching.
The two newer additions are worth knowing about. Clip 'n Climb sits inside a converted church in Kirkdale, 44 auto-belay walls from age four, and only the climbers pay, so the parent at the bottom shouting encouragement is free. TeamSport on the dock road is proper electric karting with a separate starter track for first-timers, from age eight with a 25-inch inside leg. Check prices at booking for both: TeamSport only shows them there, and Clip 'n Climb's own pages disagree with each other.

Gravity MAX Liverpool ONE
Two floors of e-karting, AR bowling, VR arenas and street golf above Liverpool ONE. Built with teenagers and work nights out in mind, but the karts take junior drivers from 8, and the bowling and arcade fill the gap for younger ones.
Otterspool Adventure
An adventure play park by the Mersey promenade - climbing frames, jumping pillows, go-karts and an indoor barn - that keeps coming up when Liverpool parents list what actually works. Walk it off on the prom afterwards.
Ninja Warrior UK Adventure Park
The TV show turned into 35,000 square feet of obstacles in Speke: warped wall, inflatable park and a Mini Ninjas soft play for the small ones. One-hour sessions, book ahead.
TeamSport Go Karting Liverpool
Indoor electric karting on the dock road near the Brunswick end, with a separate 275m starter track that suits 8-year-olds on their first go. Spectators watch for free.

A theme park deliberately built for ages 2 to 13 rather than teenagers, so both of them can ride most of it. The classic full-day option on your doorstep.
BeWILDerwood Cheshire
The best age match of anything on this list. Reviewers put the sweet spot at 2 to 10 and say a 4-year-old can do essentially the whole park; the map colour-codes areas by age and puts mini zipwires beside the full-size ones. Budget four to six hours.
Zip World Manchester
Treetop nets, high ropes and forest tubing in the woods of Heaton Park, and it is outdoors, not indoors. The cheap one is Treetot Nets: an hour bouncing on nets in the trees for ages 1 to 5, from £5, with a grown-up joining in.
Legoland Discovery Centre
Two rides, a 4D cinema, build zones and Manchester's skyline done in miniature bricks. Squarely aimed at 3 to 10, and it knows it: adults can only visit with a child.
The Snow Centre Manchester
Real snow all year round at the venue Manchester still calls Chill Factore. Over-fours get the Snow Park with sledging, Downhill Donuts and an ice slide at weekends and in the school holidays; older kids can learn to ski or board on the UK's longest indoor real snow slope.
